My independent poster design work.
Brief
In my own time, I combine my hand-drawn illustrations with graphic design for personal and commercial use. Examples shown are my ‘Bill Bryson’ series, as inspired by the work of Neil Gower, and my ‘TINNED’ fish poster series, which I sold via Etsy. Both of which use completely hand-drawn designs from Procreate and were printed in A3 and A2 sizes.
Challenges Solved
A big problem I ran into was spacing. I didn’t want to take away from the illustration but still convey the message I wanted to achieve. Something I learnt from this was that taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture can let your eyes decide what parts are important, and that less can be a lot more.
